Accra is the hardest hit as various suburbs including Kaneshie, Mallam, Ashalley Bowte and Teshie Nungua were flooded.

Torrential rains poured in for nearly 24 hours to signal a surge in the tempo of Ghana’s rainy season. The rains are expected to last till August.

An eyewitness’ account said the body was found close to the residence of the former chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Peter Mac Manu and the National Democratic Congress constituency office. He said the body was there for at least two hours before the Police came in.
