The nominations list for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards has been unveiled, with soulful British singer Adele leading with leading the list with 18 nods.

The pop duo of RedFoo and SkyBlu who make up the group LMFAO follow closely with 17 nods while Pop act Rihanna comes in third with 11 nominations. Rapper Lil’ Wayne has also received six nods.

Adele has already won five Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards for 2011 record ‘21‘. LMFAO’s ‘Sorry for Party Rocking‘ has sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide. Rihanna released her sixth studio album ‘Talk That Talk’ in November 2011 and has already sold over two million copies of the album worldwide.
