Appiah denies using the “F word” on K.P Boateng @ghanafaofficial @kpboatengofficial

Dr. James Akwasi Appiah

Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah says he didn’t resort to using any vulgar language on Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The Schalke 04 midfielder was sent out of camp last Thursday on the grounds of using vulgar words aimed at the coach.

Boateng has since the incident pontificated widely that he never disrespected the coach. He claimed Appiah rather told him f*** off when he confronted him after a training ground bust-up.

Kwesi Appiah has also denied the claims by Boateng.

“I am surprised that he said that I used those words on him. Thing is as my player how would I just say an F word to him? Whatever he has done throughout our stay in camp all the players are aware,” Appiah told Allsports.com.gh

“Whatever he did everyone is aware. When you deal with players you ignore them sometimes because you need them to perform but when it gets beyond the line you have to stamp your authority and let him know you are in control and that he cannot do things the way he wants, disrespect you and look down on you as if you are nothing.”

Appiah however says Boateng still has a future with the team if he turns a new leaf.

But earlier today, Schalke 04’s general manager, Horst Heldt said the former AC Milan midfielder would never play for Ghana again.
