robbery hits kwahu easter festivities

Thieves and robbers are reportedly cashing in at the Kwahu Mountains where the annual Easter activities including the paragliding exercise are ongoing.

Hundreds of celebrants from all walks of life have arrived at Kwahu to partake in this year’s Easter activities.

Although there is heavy security presence, reports have it that some of the participants have so far been robbed of their belongings including money, mobile phones and iPads.

The Spokesperson for the Kwahu Development Association, Kingsley Young Opare in an interview with Citi News said: “There are incidents of robbery that we have reported to the police and they are beefing up security and changing their strategy.”

According to him, the thieves carried their operations in isolated communities near the mountains where the victims were robbed on their way home.

Kingsley Opare however commended the security personnel in the area for doing a good job on the grounds.
