Reports say there were anointing and touching scenes at the Trinity Baptist Church opposite IPS last week Sunday when some of the biggest names in Ghana  and Nigeria’s showbiz industries  stormed the church as part of a programme dubbed Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians for Christ (APPMC).

The programme, spearheaded by Ghanaian actor Timothy Bentum, in collaboration with Trinity Baptist Church, was to get celebrities to worship the Lord and also win souls for Christ.

Sunday’s event got majority of stars with a Christian background to talk about what God had done in their lives on the road to success. They gave testimonies and also advised the youth.

Among them were Majid Michel, Funny Face, Prince David, Ekow Smith Asante, Maa Afia, Eddie Nartey, Ken Fiati, Kiki Banson, Nathaniel Attoh, Becca, Jeremie, Cwasi Oteng, Nyameba, Psalmist Fletcher and Nigeria’s Yemi Blaq who was the surprise guest.

Interesting things happened at the church. Some of the stars virtually broke down in tears.

Popular presenter of YFM Jeremie broke into tears when she gave a testimony.

Actor Prince David lay on the floor during worship while Ekow Smith Asante was seen kneeling, with tears streaming down his face and Becca’s hands lifted as she sobbed.

According to Timothy Bentum, his past with drugs and other vices that made him come up with the idea to to save souls, the same way he was saved by Jesus.

The event saw all the stars kneeling on the altar as Pastor Kofi Osei Kusi, the youth pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, prayed for them.

A donation will be made to the Christ Faith Foster Home at Frafraha with products from Coca Cola, Papso and Indomie, to further portray the love of God through giving.

Speaking to Timothy, he thanked the Almighty God for the souls that were saved and also to thank the celebrities for turning out in their numbers.
