The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) has expressed it's profound gratitude to the Ashanti Regional Minister for his presence at the just ended elections and swearing in at the Cultural Center (Quashie Idan Hall), Kumasi, the Regional Capital.
In an interview with seancitygh.com, the president, Mr. James Aboagye, praised the Minister for his time and dedication towards the growth of the industry.
"I'll like to seize this opportunity to say thank the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah for his presence at the FIPAG elections which brought my administration into power", he said.
He furthermore, promised to join hands with the Ministry, the Regional Coordinating Council and other stakeholders as said by Mr. Osei-Mensah in his speech to help revamp and grow the industry.
"My administration will join hands with the Ministry, Regional Coordinating Council and other stakeholders to revamp and move the film industry forward".
"I do agree with the Minister in his speech that, development of this industry will only happen when we all work together towards putting together the Legislative Instrument that will operationalize the film act enacted by the parliament of Ghana in 2016. The process leading to the composition of the Film Authority
which will help regulate the film industry has also been commenced,"
he added.
Mr. Aboagye pleaded with his members to support them and promised to pay a courtesy call on the Regional Minister to officially introduce the new administration to him.
