breaking news: nando disqualified from the bba house

After a very heated altercation between Ghana’s Elikem & Tanzania’s Nando in the “Big Brother Africa - The Chase” house on Friday, 26th July, 2013, a verdict has been met by Big Brother.

After tonight’s eviction show, 28th July, 2013, Big Brother called all the housemates to the living room and replayed the footage of the very tempestuous argument that almost led to a fight, or with Nando involved, a ‘blood bath’.

Nando, who already had one strike for concealing a weapon to the Saturday party a while back, was then given two more strikes for his bad conduct, one for his attempt at violence and the second one for his concealment of a pair of scissors under his bed. Immediately the announcement was made, he was disqualified and expelled from the house.

Lady Gaga has topped Forbes magazine's poll of the top earning celebrities under the age of 30.

The singer made an estimated $80 million (£52 million) in the last year, with the magazine estimating that she would have earned even more if she had not been forced to cancel part of her world tour to have hip surgery. Last year Gaga was fourth in the list behind Taylor Swift, who topped the poll in 2012.

Justin Bieber is in second place again this year with an estimated worth of $58m (£38m). Meanwhile Taylor Swift has dropped to third place with $55m (£36m), Calvin Harris is at fourth with $46m (£30m) and Rihanna is fifth with $43m (£28m).

kwaku bonsam featured in the new york times

Kwaku Bonsam pictured in New York Times
Check out this feature on Ghana’s most popular ‘fetish priest’, Kwaku Bonsam, published by the New York Times below:

When the radio D.J. Prince Adomako received a call in April from a man identifying himself as Nana Kwaku Bonsam, he hung up immediately, terrified. The man kept calling back, first from the same line, then from a series of new numbers.“I got really scared,” Mr. Adomako, 21, recalled recently. “Nana is a famous fetish priest in Ghana. I thought he might want to put a curse on me.”

His fear was understandable. Mr. Kwaku Bonsam is a major figure in his home country, a traditional priest loved and despised for his spiritual powers. And he revels in his notoriety. “Bonsam,” a name he gave himself, means “devil” in the Twi language.

But in New York this spring, the devil just wanted to buy an advertisement. And so after listening to his voice mail, Mr. Adomako, who immigrated from Ghana six years ago, invited him by the offices of ZenoRadio, the online start-up where he works.

nyantakyi hits out at dr. k. k. sarpong for lack of transparency

Dr. K.K. Sarpong and Kwesi Nyantakyi
The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has hit out at embattled Asante Kotoko boss Dr. K.K. Sarpong for a lack of transparency with regard to player transfers.

The club’s International Relations Manager, Kwame Baah Nuako had mentioned in an interview with Accra-based radio station Asempa FM that when the club transferred Ben Acheampong to Petro Atletico, the transfer fee was $150,000 with a co-operation fee of $100,000 between the two clubs.

Baah Nuako alleged on the same platform that Nyantakyi had gone to complain to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II that Asante Kotoko had under declared the transfer fee for Ben Acheampong.

In a no-holes-barred interview with Accra-based Happy FM, Nyantakyi stated that such a co-operation agreement will not be accepted by CAF or FIFA, describing it as a bad agreement.

neither juan mata nor david luis are leaving chelsea - mourihno

Juan Mata and David Luiz: In Jose Mourinho's plans for the new season
Jose Mourinho has refused to comment further on Chelsea's bid to sign Wayne Rooney - but says there is "no chance" either Juan Mata or David Luiz will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea have publicly denied offering either player in part-exchange for the Manchester United striker, their No 1 transfer target.
And on arrival in Malaysia for the latest leg of the club's pre-season tour, Mourinho could not have been clearer that both Luiz and Mata are part of his plans for the new season.
Asked about the possibility of selling either, he said: "No chance. No chance."

Mourinho, as expected, stonewalled direct questions about Rooney 24 hours after openly admitting the England striker was his sole remaining target.

bba the chase: selly infected me with an std - nando

I woke up to the shock and shame of my life. Never in the history of BBA has Ghana ever known such extreme disgrace.

When my friends from other countries insult Ghanaian ladies, I am always quick to get angry and defend us but my God! This is the height of it. I will just keep quiet and concede.

In a hushed conversation between Nando and Bimp, Nando narrated how he got infected with an STD after his liason with Selly!

Honestly I do not know who to feel bad for. Is Selly still going to deny sleeping with Nando after such maddening evidence? Nando coming down with an STD from her? And Big Brother had to intervene to get him on medication and strictly warned Nando never to touch Selly again without a condom. Awurade mewu!
